Mrs. Loretta Jean Webb Stewart, age 65 of Glen Allen, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 in the DCH Regional Medical Center at Tuscaloosa. Loretta was born on March 14, 1950 in Marion Co. a daughter of Alon and Elora Huguley Webb; resident of Glen Allen past several years; Co-Owner of Stewart's Grocery & Hardware in Glen Allen; previously employed at Winfield Manufacturing and A-1 Manufacturing; and her church affiliation was Methodist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Stewart; two sisters, Judy Tucker and Dianne Fields; and five brothers, Dowell, Alton, Jerry, Brice and Donald Webb.

Mr. Jerry Wayne Millwood, age 73 of Eldridge, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 in the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Mr. Millwood was born on February 5, 1942 in Walker Co. a son of Gus Millwood and Mable Fowler Millwood; resident of the Eldridge area most of his life; a retired Truck Driver; avid Alabama Fan; and a member of Eldridge United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Millwood; an infant son, Kevin Millwood; and two grandsons, Scott S. Szymankiewicz Jr. and Jeffrey Kyle Millwood.

Mr. Dewey Ellis Holcomb, age 83 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham as a result of an automobile accident. Ellis was born on January 9, 1932 in Marion Co. a son of Marlon Dewey Holcomb and Ida Mae Baccus Holcomb; lifelong resident of Winfield; retired Mechanic and Owner and Operator of Holcomb's Texaco for many years and Holcomb's Front End and Wrecker; US Army Korean Veteran; retired Alabama National Guard 877th Engineering in Winfield; and he was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Minnie Belle Patton Holcomb; and one grandson, Anthony Knight.

Mrs. Emma Lee Benton Hubbert, age 88 of Winfield, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the Golden Living Center at Winfield. Mrs. Hubbert was born on September 3, 1927 in Marion Co. a daughter of Romer and Martha Burleson Benton; resident of Gu-Win most of her life; widow of Edward Austin Hubbert who died in 1982. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mayrene Webb; and two brothers, Dewey and Morris Benton.

Mr. David Ronald Burgess, better known as “Ronnie” Burgess, age 69 of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his residence. Ronnie was born on August 19, 1946 in Marion Co. a son of Arthur Augusta Burgess and Mary Nan Tune Burgess; resident of Winfield most of his life; he was a retired Coal Miner; and his church affiliation is Baptist. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Joe Burgess.
Survivors include one son, David Burgess of Northport; two daughters, Melissa Morell and her husband, Taz of Athens and Rana Tucker and her husband, Greg of Winfield; six grandchildren, Colby and Mayson Tucker, Blaine and Braden Morell, Heather and Hannah Burgess; one step-grandaughter, Emily Tucker; father, A. James “Jim” Berryhill
Jim was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on April 6, 1944, to Hilton and Mary Mays Berryhill. He graduated Winfield High School in 1962 and joined the Air Force where he served as a Forward Air Controller and trained as an Air Commando in the elite President’s One Hundred unit.
Following his stint in the Air Force, Jim was employed by the Department of Defense to fly Huey helicopter missions during the height of the Vietnam War. In one instance, his helicopter was shot down, his crew was killed, but he managed to evade enemy capture in the jungles 93 days until finally being reunited with U.S. troops.
Jim went on to attend the University of Alabama. He then worked primarily as a contract engineer in the aerospace industry for companies such as General Electric, Boeing, Bell Helicopter and NASA on projects including the Space Shuttle, the President’s Air Force One jet plane and, most recently, the V-22 Osprey, a complex combination jet/helicopter.
Jim was determined, intelligent, witty and resourceful. He could fix almost anything mechanical or electrical and if, by chance, he didn’t know how to fix something, he would research relentlessly until he found a solution. He especially loved cars and any other vehicles with big engines. He spent many hours restoring his beloved vintage 1976 GMC motor home as well as other vehicles. He was also an accomplished airplane pilot, photographer, sailor and inventor.
Jim was retired for the past seven years. He was described by a close family friend as “one of a kind” and those who knew him would certainly agree. He was a loving and affectionate husband to his wife, Karen, and father to his son, Chase. He passed away suddenly on August 31, 2015. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Robert Earl Hawkins
Mr. Robert Earl Hawkins age 83 of Guin passed away Friday at his residence. He was born in Guin, AL on April 19, 1932 a son of Lass and Murel Berryhill Hawkins. He was a resident of the Guin area most of his life. He worked construction and owned his own brick laying business for many years. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mae Hawkins, a son, Sammy Hawkins, brothers, Roy Gene and Billy Hawkins, sisters, Katheren Reed and Doris Shirley.

Mr. Ben Ethredge Green, age 89 of Brilliant, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mr. Green was born on June 10, 1926 in Marion Co. a son of Vandiver and Ora Gladys Lambert Green; resident of Brilliant most of his life; WWII US Navy Veteran; retired Miner with over 42 years of service; member of District 20 Local 9511; an avid Coon Hunterand member of Marion County Lake Hunting Club; and he was a member of Goldmine Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Dean Markham Green; one daughter, Lana Green; one sister, Melba Mills; and one brother, J. B. Green.

Mrs. Betty Aston Erwin, age 89 of Hamilton, formerly of Winfield, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 in the Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence following a brief illness. Mrs. Aston was born on May 19, 1926 in Marion Co. a daughter of Edward and Willie Smith Erwin; she attended Harding Christian College in Searcy, Arkansas; she retired from Munsingwear Corportation at Guin in 1988 with 26 years of service; she was an active faithful member of New Hope Church of Christ, Guin Church of Christ and most recently, Hamilton Church of Christ where she helped for many years with the Clothing Room and World Bible School; and she was a caregiver for many years to her husband, Frank who died in 1996. She loved being outdoors and was known for her sweet smile. She was greatly loved by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, J. O. Erwin; and four sisters, Edith Huguley, Mamie Aldridge, Ann Weeks and Laverne Johnson.

Lillian Tarwater Meharg, age 94 of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Golden Living Center. Lillian was born in Marion County on January 27, 1921 to the late Walter and Josie Ella Little Tarwater. She lived in East Detroit, MI for several years before returning to Winfield. She is the widow of James Edward Meharg who died May 5, 1987.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Earl Meharg, Jimmy Meharg, and an infant son; three brothers, Wyman, Buck, and Louis Tarwater; and two sisters, Gertrude Tarwater and Katherine Parker.
She is survived by one son, Timothy “Tim” Meharg of Winfield;six grandchildren, Chris, Brandon, Jillian, Pat, Kim, and Russell; seven great grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Mela, Sage, Ashley, Courtney, and Marcy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

EULICE HEATH GUIN
Eulice Heath Guin, age 93 of Brilliant, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton. Eulice was born in Franklin County on May 17, 1922 to the late Thomas Juston and Emma Lou Bass Heath. She worked in the area garment plants and retired from Munsingwear after 21 years. She love working in her garden, growing flowers, and her gospel music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Coy Guin; a granddaughter, Delena Benton; a grandson, Kenny Pierce; and a brother, Hughless Heath.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Guin and his wife Margaret and R. Hollingsworth and Bonnie Mae Hubbert Hollingsworth; resident of Hubbertville Community most of her life; retired from Foodworld at Fayette; former employee of Fayette Manufacturing, Big Star and Jitney Jungle grocery stores; widow of William Ray Henderson who died July 17, 1992 they were married 34 years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Hollingsworth; one sister, Mary Grace Tucker; and one brother-in-law, Willard Tucker.

Mr. Vaughn was born on July 17, 1940 in Marion Co. a son of Orvell and Lorine Estelle Hocutt Vaughn; resident of the White Springs Community in Fayette Co. most of his life; former Police Chief of Winfield; auxiliary State Trooper, Deputy of Fayette Co. Sheriff's Office and Brilliant Police Dept.; former member of Marion County F.O.P. Lodge #32. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Randall Vaughn.

Mrs. Gist was born on March 17, 1927 in Red Bay a daughter of Henry Eugene Roberts and Sarah Frances Raper Roberts; resident of Winfield most of her life; widow of Wilby Gist who died June 2, 1980; and she had previously worked as a Seamstress in a Garment Plant. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Eula Mae Pollard; and one brother, Hollis Roberts.

Mrs. Mae Jean Skelton Nix, age 80 of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Nix was born on December 24, 1934 in Florence a son of James Walter “Shorty” Skelton and Gora Lee Burleson Shelton; resident of Marion Co. in the Boston Community of Brilliant most of her life; she is the widow of Monroe “Bo” Nix who died June 24, 1973; retired as a RN having been employed with several hospitals in the area; and she was a member of the Brilliant Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Lee Nix; one brother, J.C. Skelton; and an infant brother and infant sister.

James Randolph Wagnon (better known as Jimmy Wagnon), age 65 of Fayette, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Mr. Wagnon was born on May 1, 1950 in Fayette County to the late James David and Velma Vida Watkins Wagnon. He was a resident of Fayette County most of his life where he worked at Wagnon's Grocery and Bobo's Store; and a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Wagnon; and a sister, Cathy Marie Wagnon.
He is survived by two sisters, Pamela Greene and her husband Charles Ray of Guin and Nancy Bilbro of Odenville, AL; an aunt, Mary “Aunt Billie” Hendrix of Winfield; nine nieces and nephews; as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mrs. Ortha Tolbert Vickery age 83, of Brilliant, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Vickery was born on April 7, 1932 in Walker Co. a daughter of Herman and Martha Mills Tolbert; resident of Brilliant for past several years; widow of George L. Vickery; she retired from Brilliant Elementary School as a Senior Aide; a member of Eldridge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years; and she was a member of a gospel singing group.

Mrs. Jewell Dean Ingram Beasley, age 81 of Winfield in the Rock City Community, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in the Northwest Medical Center at Winfield. Mrs. Beasley was born on February 28, 1934 in Marion Co. a daughter of Wesley Ingram and Eunice Colburn Ingram; resdient of Rock City Community most of her life; retired from Cotler in Winfield and was formerly employed at Reltoc in Winfield and A-1 Manufacturing at Brilliant; she is the widow of Woodrow Beasley; and a member of Rock City Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Tidwell; one sister, Lena Berryhill; and one brother, James Ingram.

Burdis Hester Cummings, age 81 of Brilliant, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Cummings was born on March 1, 1934 in Winston County to the late Garfield and Osie Bell Moore Cummings. He was a resident of the Brilliant area most of his life where he retired from the area coal mines with over 18 years of service. He worked as a truck driver for 30+ years, was a member of Local #2368 in Brookwood, C&C Hunting Club in Brilliant, and Free Will Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Macceal Story, Claris Dodd, Lestie Corkren, Ruth Jones, and Osia Hallmark; and two brothers, Otis and Jim Cummings.
He is survived by his wife, Maelean Hulsey Cummings; a son Tony Cummings and his wife Jan of Brilliant; two daughters, Kathy Burleson of Hamilton and Laura Mayfield and her husband Richard of Brilliant; a sister, Sadie Harris of Brilliant; five grandchildren, Shannon and Grant Cummings, Ginger Mayfield, and Kevin and Craig Burleson; six great grandchildren, Blake young, Gavin, Jacie, and Macy Cummings, and Indee and Slade Kois; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Sarah Katherine Gann (better known as Kat), age 76 of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center. Mrs. Gann was born on November 8, 1938 in Fayette County to the late Elwood Jackson and Mary Lee Davis Dodson. She has been a lifelong resident of the Winfield area where she was a 1958 graduate of Winfield City High School. She worked with Goolsby Insurance Center and M&M Coal Co., and retired from NTN Bower in Hamilton. She was a member of Winfield First Baptist Church and the Canasta Club of Winfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ava South, Beatriss Bromley, Mary Dean Goolsby; and Clara Crawford; a brother, Odis Dodson; and a grandchild, Adam Gann.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wardell Gann; a son, Frank Gann and his wife Sue of Winfield; a daughter, Belinda Atkinson of Winfield; two sisters, Ida Price of Centerpoint and Rebekah Bush and her husband Warner of Fayette; four grandchildren, Lee Ann Colburn and her husband Rodney, Mary Tucker and her husband Patrick, Travis Gann and his wife Samanthia, and Brian Gann and his wife Natasha; five great grandchildren, Alonna Leffler, Kolton Leffler, Bella Kate Tucker, Kaiden Gann, and Haelynn Grace Gann; a special friend, Tracy Gann of Winfield; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Tiny was born on February 3, 1952 in Marion Co. a son of Reverend Billy Dean Holcomb and Robbie Lou Peoples Holcomb; resident of Guin most of his life; 1970 graduate of Double Springs High School; retired from Continental Conveyor & Equipment in Winfield with 26 years of service; BEP Program for the blind having a vending business; and he was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Corkren was born on July 18, 1927 in Marion Co. a son of Dewey Lexston Corkren and Oda Frances Ashmore Corkren; he was a resident of Brilliant most of his life; resident of Brookside Community for over 40 years; and resident of Vernon past several years; WWII US Air Corp Veteran; previously employed as Fayette Co. and Chief Deputy of Marion Co. officices; retired as Brilliant's Police Chief with 30 years of service; member of AL Peace Officers Association; member of American Legion Post 163 at Brilliant where he served as past Commander; member of F.O.P. Lodge 33 in Vernon; and he is a member of Brilliant Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ludean White Corkren; three sisters, Aeria Green, Mary Dean Vickery and Willie Shirley; and three brothers, Charles, Lomax and Ott Corkren.

Mr. Ernest Vaughn, age 87 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his daughter's residence in Bartlette, TN. Mr. Vaughn was born on January 5, 1928 in Fayette County to the late Jesse William and Iva Velma Matilda Mozingo Vaughn. He served his country during the Korean War in the US Army. Served as American Legion Post 100 Commander for 15 years, retired from Burlington Northern/Frisco Railroad after 37 years, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Ernest Vaughn; four brothers, Malcomb, Moman, Lloyd, and Kermit Vaughn; and two sisters, Lois Mayfield and Mavis Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife, Willa Dean Carter Vaughn of Winfield; two daughters, Jana Beth Vaughn Smith and her husband Carson of Memphis, TN and Lajuana Vaughn of Bartlette, TN; two grandchildren, Jessica Vaughn Smith and Crystal Magruder and her husband David; and three great grandchildren, Devon, Madalynn, and Eleanor Kate “Ellie Kate” Magruder; two sisters, Mary Jo Taylor of Lexington, SC and Lettie Parr of Tuscumbia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Robert Lee Johnson, Jr. better known as R. L. Johnson, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Mr. Johnson was born on June 16, 1926 to the late Robert Lee, Sr. and Virly May Johnson. He worked and retired from the area coal mines after 30+ years of service. He was a self saved man that read his bible every day and always put his family first. He was someone that noone could find a bad thing to say about. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mady Williams; and a brother, Coy Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelia Williams and her husband Steve of Hamilton; a step daughter, Erica Sparks and her husband Joey of Phil Campbell; a granddaughter, Kimberly Mansfield; two step-grandchildren, Ayden and Elijah Sparks; two great grandchildren, Allyson and Lauren Krueger; a sister, June Britnell of Florence; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Hilburn Wayne Hulsey, better known to some as “Bo” Hulsey, age 46 of Boligee, formerly of Brilliant, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 in the DCH Regional Medical Center at Tuscaloosa. Hilburn was born on May 28, 1968 in Zion, Illinois a son of Hilburn and Sarah Spencer Hulsey; resident of Alabama most of his life; resident of Boligee last few years; he was a graduate of Brilliant High School and he was employed in Construction with Stan Pate Holdings. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mrs. Rozell was born on October 7, 1924 in Monroe County, Mississippi a daughter of John Henry Gholson and Luella McCoy Gholson; rew up in Hamilton, MS; resident of Brookside for several years; resident of Winfield since 1952; she previously was employed with the Wallace family; she retired from Continental Conveyor; she was a founding member of Hodges Chapel Church where she was a devoted church worker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Henry Rozell; one son, Sammie John Rozell; grandson, Shawn Hollis; sisters, Lucy Mae and Loistene; brothers, John Henry Jr. and Calvin.
Survivors include one daughter, Ernestyne Williamson of Washington; grandchildren, Fredricka Lloyd, Samantha and Sandra Rozzelle; Clinton, Patrick and Velma Walker, Lorita Durley, Andre Williamson and Aisha Mayfield; severaly great grandchildren; brother, Curtis Gholson of Illinois; sister, Estelle Hurt of Wisconsin; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 12 Noon from the Hodges Chapel Church. Rev. Keith Cobb will officate. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing.
CLINT HUBBERT
Mr. Clint Hubbert, age 82 of Montgomery, formerly of Fayette Co., passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at his daughter's residence. Mr. Hubbert was born on November 15, 1932 in the Bazemore Community of Fayette Co. a son of John and Flora Montgomery Hubbert; longtime resident of Montgomery; received his AA degree in Business and Accounting from Alabama Christian College in Montgomery; he retired twice, first after serving 20 years in the US Air Force and secondly from Diesel America and PikNik Products Co. with over 25 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Wallace Hubbert; and two brothers, Jack and Troy Hubbert.
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Whetstone and her husband, L.C. of Montgomery, Annette Ladan and her husband, Mohammed and Dolores Hudson and her husband, Jessie, both of Stone Mountain, GA; three granddaughters, Alicia McNair and her husband, Myron, Cheryl and Catherine Whetstone; one brother, Millard Hubbert of Guin; one sister, Bessie Nell Hubbert of Guin; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

GABIEL LEE HANEY
Gabriel Lee “Gabe” Haney, age 36 of Brilliant, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Gabe was born on August 14, 1978 in Rock Island, Illinois; 1997 Graduate of Brilliant High School; previously employed with Brilliant Homes, Department of Corrections and was currently employed with Buccaneer Homes at Hamilton; he was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church; and had a passion for sports and family.
Survivors include one son, Gabriel Lee Haney II of Centerville; two daughters, Cydnie Haven Haney and Emma Claire Haney, both of Centerville; father, Danny Ray Haney of Winfield; mother, Lorraine Smith Cagle and her husband, Ricky of Brilliant; grandmother, Lorraine Alice Smith of Rock Island, IL; sisters, Andrea Lynn Terry of Haleyville and Renae Lorraine Pinion of Winfield; step-sister, Carrie Cagle; half-brother, Ryan Jasper Haney of OK; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Funeral Mass is planned for Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Father Reddy will conduct the service. VIVIAN PORTER MILLS
Vivian Porter Mills, age 99 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Mills was born on August 28, 1915 in Fayette County to the late Sam and Lou Ella Watkins Porter.
She is survived by her daughter, Hazel Ann Mills Spann and her husband Raymond of Winfield; three grandchildren, Chuck Spann and his wife Jill, Cindy Holmes and her husband Gary, and April O' Neal and her husband Chris; six great grandchildren, Nick Holmes and his wife Heather, Chris Holmes and his wife Amber, Nathan Holmes, Cody Holmes, Julie Rhodes and her husband Derek, and Caitlyn Spann; three great grandchildren, Vivian, Luke, and Nicholas Holmes; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, at 12:00 PM from the Miles Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Winfield City Cemetery with Raymond and Chuck Spann officiating. Visitation will be Monday, at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.
GLENDA CAROL TIDWELL CLARK
Glenda Carol Tidwell Clark, age 64 of Guin, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. Glenda was born on November 30, 1950 to James and Ruby Mae Maddox Tidwell. After attending Brewer State Junior College, she began working with the United States Postal Service in Guin, Beaverton, Huntsville, and Glen Allen; where she served as postmaster. She retired with over 30 years of service. She enjoyed looking for and admiring Native American artifacts and was a member of Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother Ruby Mae Tidwell of Winfield; two sons, Heath Clark of Northport and Ryan Clark and his wife Angie of Bankston; a daughter, Tia Clark of Winfield; five grandchildren; Devon, Lawson, and Hallie Clark, Kilee Webster, and Karlee Clark; as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Tidwell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 11:00 AM from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
ORA BELLE GUYTON SUDDUTH
Mrs. Ora Belle Guyton Sudduth, age 92 of Fayette, passed away Sunday March 15, 2015 in the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Mrs. Sudduth was born on May 11, 1922 in Marion Co. a daughter of Burley Guyton and Mertie Rozzell Guyton; resident of Winfield area most of her life; retired from Domestic House Cleaning; and she is a member of Hodges Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Ellsworth Sudduth, Sr. and Curtis Wallace; one son, Oliver McDavid; and one grandson, Greg Wilson.
Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Lee Wilson of Fayette; six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

BOBBY GENE LAWRENCE
Mr. Bobby Gene Lawrence, age 82 of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Northwest Medical Center at Winfield. Mr. Lawrence was born on April 10, 1932 in Marion Co. a son of William Floyd Lawrence and Blanche Bussey Lawrence; resident of the Brookside Community most of his life; he played football for LSU where he earned his Bachelors Degree; a member of Marion County Sports Hall of Fame; avid supporter of local athletics; a local business man and active in the community; he owned Lawrence Apartments for many years;and he was an Author and Antique collector. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Fred Lawrence; one grandson, Jeremy Lawrence; and one brother, William Lawrence.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Micklish Lawrence of Winfield; one son, Robert Lawrence and his wife, Emily of Rayne, LA; one daughter, Beth Lawrence and her husband, Robert of Meridianville, AL; five grandchildren, Alex Lawrence, Malia Skidmore, Michael Skidmore, Chad Lawrence and his wife, Whitney and Ryan Lawrence and his wife, Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Lathan, Macy, Amelia and Liam Lawrence; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Lawrence of Winfield; one sister-in-law, Wynona Lawrence of Winfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Bernice Souls Morris, age 79 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her daughter's residence in Tuscaloosa. Mrs. Morris was born on January 5, 1936 in Georgia a daughter of Ethan McCoy Souls and Atha Flowers Souls; resident of Winfield since 1970; previous resident of Vernon; she is the widow of Raymond Howard Morris who died in 1978; and she is a member of Winfield Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Sue Morris; one grandson, Nicholas Taylor; two sisters, Willie Mae Allen and Earestine Maine; and three brothers, Bennie, Alfred and Martin Souls.
